Renaming a Sametime User in Their Contact List

A user whose name has been changed in Sametime still sees their original name in their Sametime contact list (Embedded Sametime on Notes client). This can be changed by editing the nickname. It would be helpful if the user’s name in the contact list were updated automatically when the user is renamed or using some tool.

    For updating contact lists with user renames, the current process is to run the Sametime Database utility.

    We are evaluating to specifically make renaming a user easier. The enhancement below is what I would suggest be voted on.
    Switch to using UUID in mongo instead of DNs and email addresses

    This will bind the contact lists to a value that does not change in the directory and would adopt display name changes automatically.
