Current Behavior
In the Notes Client, File => Preferences → Fonts, Colors and Themes option, users can select the Bold option along with the desired colours for unread mails. This allows unread messages to be displayed in bold using the selected colour.
However, the Desktop Policy Settings document=> Preferences → Fonts and Colors → Fonts and Colors Settings → Unread Mail Indication option currently provides only the following options:
Bold black text
Plain red text
Enhancement Required
The Desktop Policy Settings document does not currently provide an option to configure Bold text with all available colours, including red.
Requesting to considere for a future release to provide Bold formatting with the selected unread-mail colour(s) through the Desktop Policy.
This enhancement would allow administrators to centrally configure the unread-mail indication with Bold formatting and any desired colour, providing the same level of customization available through the Notes Client Preferences.
This would also help customers maintain a consistent unread-mail appearance across users through centralized Desktop Policy configuration.
