Enhance Verse Name Lookup / Typeahead to Match Any Token in Multi‑Part Surnames

Enhance Verse Name Lookup / Typeahead to Match Any Token in Multi‑Part Surnames

Current name lookup behaviour does not reliably support modern, real-world naming conventions (such as multi-part surnames), leading to usability challenges for end users.

For example, a standard Spanish name consists of a given name and two surnames: Pedro Garcia Marquez.

  • First Name: Pedro

  • Surname: Garcia Marquez

If a user addresses an email and types "Pedro" or "Garcia", the typeahead resolves the name correctly. However, if the user only remembers the second surname and types "Marquez", the client fails to find the recipient.

Matching of the second surname (e.g., “Márquez”) is not guaranteed in Verse and may depend on cached suggestions rather than directory logic.

Expected behaviour:

Users should be able to find recipients by typing any part of a multi-word surname.

For example:

  • Input: "Marquez"

  • Result: Pedro Garcia Marquez should be returned in type‑ahead suggestions
