Google will be adding AMP support for interactive mobile pages into GMAIL this month, Outlook and other mail client to be following suite. To get interactive content and app components into VERSE would help to build interactive workflows from the inbox.
Take commenting in Connections, for example. Instead of receiving individual email notifications when someone mentions you in a comment, now, you’ll see an up-to-date thread in Gmail where you can easily reply or resolve the comment, right from within the message.
