Compatibility of Chat file Transfer Between Sametime Versions and Clients

Users are experiencing issues transferring and viewing chat files between the embedded Sametime in the Notes client 14.0.x and earlier and the web-based Sametime client (v12.0.3 and later).

However, core features such as the contact list and file transfers still use the older framework.

As a result, when a Rich Client user initiates a file transfer, the receiving embedded Web client processes it using the older protocol to ensure compatibility. However, files do not always display correctly, and the user may see only text.
