When a mail file owner delegates access to themselves, it doesn't add them into the list of delegated users
- as they are already included in the ACL
and therefore, gives the impression that Notes does not add owners as delegates (the mail file owner cannot delegate to themselves).
However, an Admin Request error occurs:
Error: Both the signer and the author of this request must be an Editor of the database
After you attempt to process the AdminP request, the following error occurs:
(You do not have sufficient rights to edit the preferences of this application)
-
Requesting an Enhancement so that the user is prevented from adding themselves as the delegate to a mail file where they are owner.
Notes should present an information message advising the user that the action is not possible
This will prevent a scenario where if somehow the owner (who has editor access which they not allowed to change, according to policy) , delegates access to themselves, they can then change (downgrade) the access for themselves on their own mail file, to author or another access level.
