Restrict or override the behaviour of F4 and TAB keys when the user is viewing the parent-child document screen.

In the application, pressing F4 or TAB navigates to the next unread document. However, when working within the child document view, this behaviour causes inconsistencies:

  • The child document moves independently to another unread document.

  • The parent document remains unchanged.

  • This results in incorrect parent-child mapping, where unrelated child documents are displayed.

  • The behaviour leads to unintended document switching can indeed affect data integrity and user workflow reliability, potentially resulting in incorrect parent child pairing and functional disruption.

  • We have also observed similar behaviour in the standard mail template during internal review.
