Currently, the Microsoft Teams OAuth token is not stored in the Notes ID but in the mail database where it is created, and it is tied to the mail owner context and the Microsoft account used during authorization. For delegated workflows, the Teams token must be created and maintained by the mail owner in their mail file. Assistants can create Teams meetings in the mail owner’s calendar only if the mail owner has already authenticated Teams.
The current integration does not support a model where multiple users independently authenticate Microsoft Teams into the same mail file using their own Microsoft identities. This limitation has been verified with the development team.
We request an enhancement to allow independent Teams authentication per authorized user within the same mail database, enabling flexible and secure delegated workflows without dependency on the mail owner’s Microsoft authorization. This would better support enterprise delegation models and improve the overall usability of the Teams integration in HCL Notes.
