Delegated users added to a mail file ACL with “No Access” and “Read Public Documents” enabled are currently unable to use full-text search. This is working as designed but creates a usability limitation. Enhancement is requested to allow full-text search for delegates in this ACL configuration.
Current Behavior:
When a user is granted “No Access” with “Read Public Documents” selected, any attempt to perform a full-text search results in
“You are not authorized to perform that operation.”
If the same user is instead set to “Reader” with “Read Public Documents”, full-text search functions correctly.
Steps to Reproduce:
Delegate calendar access to another user (default delegation assigns “No Access” + “Read Public Documents”).
The delegate opens the mail file/calendar.
Attempt to perform a full-text search.
Error appears: “You are not authorized to perform that operation.”
Enhance full-text search to support the “Read Public Documents” access level when no additional ACL privileges are granted.
There is no reason specified as to why you want to be able search a database that you only have access to the public documents.
Please can you elaborate.
It does not make any sense: setting reader access, delegated user can view all the emails.
