The Challenge: Currently, when an application's creator or owner leaves the organization and their account is deleted from the directory, the application is left without an active responsible person. In these scenarios, access to the application often defaults or becomes restricted solely to the [VoltAppsManager] role.
This creates an administrative bottleneck. IT and department leads are not automatically made aware that an application has been orphaned, making it difficult to promptly update access rights and hand over the application to a new responsible person within the department.
Proposed Solution: We propose the introduction of a new, periodically scheduled Domino Agent designed to automatically identify and report on these applications. The agent should include the following capabilities:
Automated Identification: Scan for and identify Domino Leap applications where the registered owner's name has been deleted or is no longer valid.
Targeted Notifications: Automatically send an email notification to a predefined IT or Domino Leap administration email address.
Actionable Data: The notification email should include the Name of the deleted owner, the Application Name, and a Direct Link to the application so administrators can take immediate action.
Technical Precedent: Ideally, this new feature would function similarly to the existing Leap Cleanup Agent (as documented here: Domino Leap Cleanup Agent), running on a scheduled basis to ensure continuous platform hygiene.
Business Value: Implementing this enhancement would drastically improve administrative governance, ensure business continuity for citizen-developed applications, and eliminate the manual effort currently required to audit and reassign orphaned apps.
Thank you for your time and for considering this enhancement for a future release. We would be happy to discuss this further if you need additional use-case details.
