We would like to request a feature that allows administrators to close all active Notes client sessions connected to the Domino server.
Currently, the available workaround is to terminate sessions from the client side by manually closing all open documents and databases. Another alternative is to restart or stop the Domino services, which forces all Notes and HTTP users to disconnect from the server. However, this approach is disruptive and affects all users.
Within the Notes Admin Client (Server tab → Status tab → Notes Users), administrators can view a list of active Notes users. While the command "DROP USERNAME" can be issued, it does not immediately terminate the user session, as the session often remains active.
Requested Enhancement:
We request the ability to immediately terminate or drop an active Notes or internet user session directly from the Domino server without requiring a full service restart. This functionality would significantly improve administrative control and reduce system disruption.
A server-side option to forcibly disconnect specific or all active sessions would be highly beneficial for maintenance, security, and operational efficiency.
This feature is higly requested. Specially when we have docs or dfatabases opened on client side.
Admin tasks like update template of database has no effect until notes session is open from client side .
It should work in the same way like on http.
