Notes has a password change feature that syncs with its internet password when [Update Internet Password When Notes Client Password Changes] is "Yes".
When a user ID has been imported to its mail file, iNotes can change the imported user ID password via iNotes properties.
This causes the discrepancy of the user ID password saved in Notes data directory and the imported ID password.
In addition, this causes the update of its Internet password even though [Allow Users to Change Internet Password over HTTP] is "No" because AdminP runs the request to change its internet password.
The imported user ID will be used only when the users will decrypt, sign, and encrypt documents, and to recall messages and it does not need to change its password.
I request that iNotes forbid changing the imported user id password and not sync it with its internet password.
The features shown below should only work for Notes.
[Update Internet Password When Notes Client Password Changes:] "Yes"
No plans to change or advance iNotes.
Furthermore the plan is to move away from the HTTP password completely. The recommendation is to configure servers to do HTTP authentication against the IDVault or using a 3rd party Identity Provider (e.g. a SAML IdP, an LDAP, etc)
