HCL Nomad Application for iOS and Android – SAML Authentication

Currently only the “HCL Nomad for web browsers” client supports SAML (or Nomad Web Federated Login), please add this functionality to the HCL Nomad application/client for mobile devices, iOS and Android.


Anything else doesn’t make sense from the usage and product perspective and as long as the mobile clients don’t support SAML, it can’t be said that HCL has implemented the SAML support for HCL Nomad in a usable and practical way. As of now, this is sadly only a feature preview which can’t really be used in production.


HCL Nomad for web browsers and HCL Nomad applications on mobile devices should have 100% feature parity, as anything else is confusing and not practicable for Nomad users.

As more and more products in HCL portfolio support SAML (HCL Sametime, HCL Traveler, HCL Notes, HCL Verse on-Premises, etc…), SAML Authentication is a way to go for many customers and it makes sense to implement the SAML support for Nomad Applications on Android and iOS as soon as possible.

    This would be awesome because it would allow us to implement MFA through our IdP for added security. I won't implement HCL Nomad until SAML Authentication is implemented on Mobile Devices.

    Nomad Federated Login is still not supported on mobile devices... :(
