In the HCL Notes Standard (Eclipse) client, switching a document from read mode to edit mode takes an extended amount of time when the underlying Form contains a large number of computed text fields (for example, 500 or more). During this mode transition, the client becomes temporarily unresponsive while recalculating and rendering the field values.
